Building a Temple

1 Kings 8:10-13 states "And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord. Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in forever." I have been in services when the glory of the Lord has came upon us and the minister was not able to minister to the congregation. Those are wonderful services. We, including the minister, receive exactly what we need. He said that He would dwell in the thick darkness. When the situation is so dark that we can't see where we are going or what we need to do, it can be very frightening. It is such a comfort to know that HE says that is where He is dwelling. Praise God! We are not alone! No need to be afraid of the dark! No need to worry that we can't see! He is there to guide us. He is there to protect us. He is THERE! Solomon built Him a temple made of earthly treasures. He now dwells in temples of flesh. We just need to make a place for Him. He will be there with us at all times and lead us, comfort us, and give us peace. He accomplished this on the day of Pentecost when He poured out of His Spirit and filled 120 people in the upper room with the Holy Ghost. He is still pouring out the Holy Ghost on those that seek Him! Praise Him all ye people!
